Professor Strober will discuss her new book, Sharing the Work: What My Family and Career Taught Me about Breaking Through (and Holding the Door Open for Others).
A memoir, Sharing the Work reflects on Professor Strober’s revolutionary life, from her Brooklyn childhood (and her shock at age twelve when she was banished to the women’s balcony at synagogue) to her groundbreaking Stanford University seminar on women and work.
A labor economist, she is professor emerita at the Graduate School of Education at Stanford University, and professor of economics at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. She was founding director of Stanford’s Center for Research on Women (now the Clayman Institute for Research on Women in Gender) and president of the International Association for Feminist Economics.
