Education and Public Awareness Programs

Our Section Education and Public Awareness programs include:

Study Group and Member Meetings:

  • Members explore a broad range of social, cultural and political issues and present solutions for going forward.

Plan A Ballot Initiative:

  • As part of our National organization’s efforts to insure access to reproductive health, Plan A, our section is working to educate the voting public about upcoming ballot initiatives which would limit young people’s access to reproductive health care.

San Francisco Section Social Action and Advocacy programs include:

Public Policy Initiative:

  • Members work in cooperation with California Sections, our National organization, and other advocacy groups to study, take positions and take action on critical public policy issues.
  • Members focus on legislation on trafficking in cooperation with JAPAC, the Jewish Community Relations Council, Jewish Family and Children’s Services and the New Israel Fund.
  • The Jewish Coalition to End Human Trafficking advocates on behalf of new and stronger legislation at the local, state and Federal level to protect victims of Human Trafficking.
